As an Investment Officer in the Healthcare Credit Group at CapitalSource, Mr. Berger’s primary responsibilities include identifying, structuring, underwriting, and closing senior financings. His specific industries of focus include skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, medical device companies, home health providers, mental health providers, laboratory testing companies, and other healthcare service businesses.

Mr. Berger has held several positions at CapitalSource since joining the company in May of 2003 including Account Executive, Loan Officer, and Senior Investment Associate before assuming his current role as Investment Officer in July of 2007. Prior to joining CapitalSource, Mr. Berger was an Investment and Research Analyst at Columbia Financial Advisors.
