As a Director in the Leveraged Finance Group, Mr. Shuler is responsible for evaluating, structuring, underwriting, negotiating, and closing senior and second lien financing opportunities in the technology sector mainly in support of private equity-led buyouts, recapitalizations, or refinancings. Prior to assuming his current role in 2006, Mr. Shuler was a Senior Underwriting Officer within the Corporate Finance Business. Mr. Shuler joined CapitalSource in 2003 and has over 11 years of finance experience working with middle-market and technology-related companies.

Prior to joining CapitalSource, Mr. Shuler served as a Manager in the Ernst & Young Transaction Advisory Service Group or (TAS). In this capacity, he was responsible for leading financial due diligence projects working primarily with private equity clients and commercial lenders. Prior to his service in the TAS group, Mr. Shuler was a member of the firm's audit practice.
