Mr. DeBaere is Managing Director of Leveraged Finance for CapitalSource and has over 20 years of experience providing solutions to a broad range of commercial enterprises. He joined CapitalSource in 2000 to establish the firm’s Corporate Finance Business and manage the West Coast region. In 2004, Mr. DeBaere led the first European domiciled financing transaction for the company and in 2005 founded CapitalSource Europe Ltd. In addition to his leadership of the company’s leveraged finance team, he is also a member of CapitalSource’s Executive Committee.
 
Prior to joining CapitalSource, Mr. DeBaere started the San Francisco leverage finance office of a regional mid-market California bank, providing leveraged financings to private equity firms. He also worked with a private investment group in South America, culminating in the formation of an oil and gas services company.
