As a Development Officer within the Healthcare Real Estate Group at CapitalSource since 2006, Mr. McKown is responsible for the development of new financing and acquisition opportunities focusing on senior housing including skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living.

Prior to joining CapitalSource, Mr. McKown spent 12 years at Beverly Enterprises, most recently as Vice President. His responsibilities at Beverly Enterprise included acquisitions, divestitures, new construction, corporate forecasting, and corporate debt management including lease negotiations. Mr. McKown's experience before Beverly Enterprises includes Vice President of Asset Management at Formation Capital and Vice President of Portfolio Management at Nationwide Health Properties. In addition, he worked in public accounting with Baird Kurtz and Dobson where his clients focused on banking and healthcare.
