Mr. Bass is a Senior Investment Associate within the Healthcare Real Estate Group at CapitalSource. He assists with the origination, structure, underwriting, and closing of potential lending and sale-leaseback opportunities directly and in collaboration with a team of investment professionals. Mr. Bass also assists CapitalSource's portfolio management group in post-closing customer interaction and asset management. Since joining CapitalSource in 2003, Mr. Bass has negotiated and closed over $650 million in transactions, including term loans (predominantly real estate), revolving credit lines, and sale-leasebacks.

Prior to joining CapitalSource, Mr. Bass spent five years working on Capital Hill as a legislative assistant for then-Representative John Sununu where he oversaw a number of legislative issues including banking and finance, insurance, housing, telecommunications, and energy, among others. Mr. Bass left the Hill in the summer of 2001 to attend business school.
